Abstract

Background. The purpose of this work is to study the process of propagation of TE-electromagnetic waves in a plane waveguide. Material and methods. To obtain a numerical solution to the problem, we used the method of the auxiliary Cauchy problem. Results. A method for analyzing the spectrum of waves in an inhomogeneous wave structure  has been developed. Conclusions. This method is an effective way to analyze the propagation of TE-polarized electromagnetic waves.
